Jewish Volunteering Network

Volunteer Engagement Adviser - Help people discover the volunteering role that's right for them

The Jewish Volunteering Network (JVN) believes that everyone has something to contribute. We connect people with volunteering opportunities that match their interests, skills and availability, helping charities find the volunteers they need while supporting people to make a meaningful difference. We're looking to build a team of one or two, enthusiastic volunteers to join our team, enjoy meeting people, having conversations and helping others discover how volunteering can enrich their lives. Tasks As a Volunteer Engagement Adviser, you'll be one of the friendly faces of JVN, helping people take their first steps into volunteering. Your role may include: Working with the JVN staff team with speaking with people who are interested in volunteering. Helping connect people with volunteering opportunities that suit their interests, skills and availability. Calling or emailing prospective volunteers to offer guidance and answer questions. Representing JVN at community events, volunteer fairs and information sessions. Helping the JVN team organise and support events that inspire more people to volunteer. Encouraging people who may be unsure about volunteering and helping build their confidence. Keeping simple records of conversations and volunteer enquiries. Working alongside the JVN team to ensure every volunteer has a welcoming and positive experience.

Not sure which role suits you or need a little friendly help? Please contact Angie at angie@jvn.org.uk for London or Rebecca at manchester@jvn.org.uk for Manchester.

Jewish Volunteering Network

The Jewish Volunteering Network (JVN) is the UK’s Jewish community volunteering hub, connecting people who want to give their time with charities and organisations that need their skills.

For nearly two decades, JVN has supported thousands of volunteers and hundreds of charities across the Jewish and wider community. We make volunteering accessible, inclusive and meaningful, whether someone can offer an hour, a skill, or long-term commitment.

JVN helps individuals find roles that reflect their interests, availability and experience. We also work closely with charities to strengthen volunteer programmes, improve volunteer management practice and increase engagement.

Our purpose is simple but powerful: to promote volunteering, connect volunteers and support charities so that together we can build stronger communities.

Our vision is that every Jewish person volunteers at least once a year, regardless of age, background or ability - contributing to a thriving charity sector and a more connected society.

JVN works across the voluntary, public and private sectors, raising the profile of volunteering and championing its impact as a force for good within the Jewish and wider community.
