Live Unlimited
Volunteer to meet and support our swimmers
A group of care-leavers will be learning to swim and we would love to find a volunteer who can meet and greet them, can ensure they have a £1 coin for the locker (for example!) and be supportive if they need anything.
The volunteer will be representing the charity and will also be the liaison between those learning to swim and ourselves.
What difference you will make
This is a vital role for Live Unlimited as we pride ourselves on forming relationships with our beneficiaries but sadly none of the staff team are able to make the time of this swimming course. Therefore the volunteer will be enabling us to achieve our charitable objectives, represent us to the young people and ensure that not only do they feel supported but also ensure they get the most out of the swimming lessons.
What additional skills or experience you should have
Confident and willing to meet new people, supportive and kind and organised.
What training we will provide for you
We will provide information on the care-experienced sector and ensure you have everything you need.
What you will get out of volunteering for us
Hopefully a sense of pride in the knowledge that you are truly making a difference. We know the impact these swimming lessons have on the young people and you will be a vital part of that.
Not sure which role suits you or need a little friendly help? Please contact our volunteer broker at volunteerbroker@jvn.org.uk for London or Rebecca at manchester@jvn.org.uk for Manchester.
