What happens next?

After you have added your opportunities, they will appear on the JVN website* and individuals will be able to apply or enquire about them. When they do, you (or the person entered as the alternative contact for that opportunity) will receive a notification email. You will then need to log in, click on your organisation’s tab and visit the Communication centre. Here you can respond to the volunteer.

Please note that, in accordance with date protection law, we cannot pass on any of the volunteer’s contact details without their explicit consent. You are free to request this information from them in your response and they may choose to give it. However, keeping your communication on the JVN system will ensure that anyone connected to the organisation can see the history of the volunteer's interaction with your organisation. We will also be able to ensure you are responding to applications and enquiries in a quick and effective manner.
