Befriending Opportunity!
We are looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to befriend one of the men living in our Supported Living service. This rewarding role involves spending time together, building a positive relationship, and helping reduce social isolation.
Tasks may include:
Going for walks.
Going out in the community
Playing games.
Having coffee out
Going to the Cinema
No special experience is required, just a caring, patient, and positive attitude. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life while gaining valuable volunteering experience.
What difference you will make
As a Befriending Volunteer, you will help reduce loneliness and social isolation for a person living in our Supported Living service. By offering friendship, companionship, and regular social interaction, you will help improve their wellbeing, confidence, and sense of belonging within the community.
Your support will enable the person to build positive relationships, engage in activities they enjoy, and develop greater independence. Even a small amount of your time can make a significant difference to someone's quality of life and happiness.
This role directly supports the charity's aim of empowering people to live fulfilling, independent lives and to be active, valued members of their communities.
