Volunteer New Tenant support
Help new tenants feel welcomed and supported as they move into their new LJHA home. Volunteers will provide light practical support with unpacking household items, offer reassurance and help tenants settle comfortably into their new surroundings. This is a flexible, one-off volunteering opportunity that can make a real difference during an important transition.
What difference you will make
By volunteering in this role, you will help new tenants feel welcomed, supported and more comfortable as they settle into their new home. Your reassurance and practical support can help reduce stress and make an important life transition feel less overwhelming.
What additional skills or experience you should have
No previous experience is needed. We are looking for friendly, patient and reliable volunteers who are happy to provide practical support and reassurance to others during a significant life change.
What training we will provide for you
All volunteers will receive an induction, with additional information, guidance and support provided by LJHA staff to help you feel confident in the role.
What you will get out of volunteering for us
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support people during an important life transition while meeting new people and giving back to the community. You will gain experience in supporting others, build confidence and be part of a friendly and supportive volunteer network.
Not sure which role suits you or need a little friendly help? Please contact Angie at angie@jvn.org.uk for London or Rebecca at manchester@jvn.org.uk for Manchester.
