Hospitality and Dining Room Support Volunteer Sunridge Court, Golders Green

Role Summary: To support the hospitality team at Sunridge Court and residents by helping to create a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the dining room at mealtimes. This includes welcoming residents, chatting with them about their day and the menu, making sure residents have everything they need, offering seconds and anything else they may need such as sauces, napkins and cutlery, checking they ae enjoying their meal and chatting with people to brighten their day. Volunteers may also help clear plates if needed, and generally support the hospitality team with the smooth running of the dining room, with a focus on helping residents to enjoy a pleasant, sociable and relaxed mealtime. Time Commitment: Initially, we are looking to fill daily lunchtime shifts from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. Volunteers would not be expected to attend every day, and we are happy to discuss which days they could commit to on a weekly basis. Once the lunchtime rota is filled, we will also be looking for volunteers to support the supper service from 5pm to 7pm.

Not sure which role suits you or need a little friendly help? Please contact our volunteer broker at volunteerbroker@jvn.org.uk for London or Rebecca at manchester@jvn.org.uk for Manchester.
