What difference you will make
Helping members access the day centre in Stanmore is a lifeline. This day out can be the difference between sitting alone isolated and spending a day with others, socialising learning new skills and enjoying a hot meal in company rather than in silence at home. It improves their wellbeing immeasurably and also enables a family carer to gain much-needed respite. This is not just a journey, you can become an important part of the members life. Chatting enroute is another way to make friends. You will make people feel listened to cared about.
