Bring a skill or hobby to the activities programme at Jewish Care's BRAND NEW Isaacs Dementia Day Centre in Golders Green

Opening in October 2026, the Issacs Day Centre is a brand-new Day Centre that will provide vital support for people living with mild to moderate memory impairment or dementia, and is an important new resource for the community. Jewish Care are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to share a skill, hobby or passion by leading enjoyable activity sessions that encourage creativity, confidence and social connection. Whether you enjoy art, music, cooking, crafts, quizzes, photography, woodwork or have another talent to share, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be fully supported by  Jewish Care staff and volunteer team. What you'll be doing: * Helping the team facilitate a regular activity session based on your skills or interests. * Working with staff to develop sessions that are engaging and suitable for members. * Encouraging members to take part while supporting their independence. * Helping prepare any equipment or materials needed. * Working alongside staff and volunteers to create a warm, inclusive and enjoyable experience. * Reporting any concerns to staff and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Jewish Care is the largest provider of health and social community based services to the Jewish community through community centre, residential homes, specialist day services for people with dementia and mental health, home care, social work, family carers and community support and information and advice.

Our services are delivered to 7000 people through a diverse work force of 1100 paid staff and 2800 volunteers. Volunteers are involved in all areas of our business from board games with clients to board room decision making. We value the contribution of our volunteers through personal development programmes, public recognition and thanks.
