Leeds Jewish Welfare Board
Activity support
Help support a variety of activities at the MAZCC and LJHA by creating a warm and welcoming environment for members and tenants. Volunteers may assist with setting up activities, socialising with participants, serving drinks, encouraging people to join in, and supporting individuals as they try new activities and build confidence.
What difference you will make
By volunteering in this role, you will help create a friendly and inclusive environment where people feel welcomed, supported and encouraged to take part in activities. Your time, encouragement and companionship can help reduce loneliness, build confidence and brighten someone’s day.
What additional skills or experience you should have
No previous experience is needed. We are looking for friendly, patient and reliable volunteers who enjoy chatting with people and helping others feel included and supported.
What training we will provide for you
All volunteers will receive an induction, along with ongoing support and guidance with different tasks and activities.
What you will get out of volunteering for us
This role is a great opportunity to meet new people, build confidence and be part of a friendly and supportive community. You will gain experience supporting others while helping to create enjoyable and meaningful activities for local people.
Not sure which role suits you or need a little friendly help? Please contact Angie at angie@jvn.org.uk for London or Rebecca at manchester@jvn.org.uk for Manchester.
