DREAM IT. BELIEVE IT. ACHIEVE IT.

April 29, 2014

I was talking to a friend recently about life and work and we both agreed that there are too many people stuck in a job they don’t like. This is a real shame.

Life is full of unexpected twists and turns and it is a waste spending years, months, even days doing something which you don’t find exciting and your heart isn’t really in.

The thought of leaving your job is scary – let’s be honest, it isn’t easy to find a new one out there. That’s understandable, so we should find other ways to be doing the things we are most passionate about.

Look at volunteering, for example. It is a great way to explore all those things you always wanted to do but didn’t have the time or courage to try. You were too busy or too young or too afraid or too tied up in all the reasons why you shouldn’t do it instead of exploring ways to act on your instincts and accomplish your dreams.

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, try new adventures and give back to society at the same time.

Why don’t we go out there to try new things? What’s the worst that could happen? If anything, it might help us decide if our dream is what we imagined it to be, or maybe just a nice thought but not really for us.

williamNo matter what age you are or what your circumstances – follow your dream!

As Will.I.Am put it in an interview recently “I’m ignoring my problems and paying attention to my dream.” And let’s face it, if he has the time, anyone does!
