Jewish Care

Day Centre Support - Stamford Hill AJEX House

Some of our long-term volunteers in the centre are stepping down in the near future, so now is your opportunity to fill their boots! We need your help and the friendly community would give you the warmest welcome. There are some basic roles and requirements, but we're also looking for people with some get-up and go. Whether that's running a quiz, a discussion group or any activity, the members would be very appreciative. Some of the tasks you'd be required to do: • Attend the session each week • Support the wellbeing of the small group of local members • Help to set up the space before the session begins • Assist with taking lunch orders and collecting payments • Serve tea and coffee throughout the day • Support Jewish Care staff in delivering and participating in activities (any creative ideas very welcome!) • Join in with and assisting during Jewish celebrations, significant days and special occasions • Help to pack down and tidy up at the end of the day

Not sure which role suits you or need a little friendly help? Please contact Angie at angie@jvn.org.uk for London or Rebecca at manchester@jvn.org.uk for Manchester.
